Scope: This document specifies the technical and dimensional requirements for lampholders and starter holders for tubular fluorescent lamps, as well as test methods to determine the safety and fit of lamps in lampholders and starters in starter holders. This document applies to stand-alone lampholders and built-in lampholders for tubular fluorescent lamps fitted with caps shown in Appendix A, as well as starters in accordance with IEC 60155 for operating voltages not exceeding 1000 V effective in AC circuits The independent starter base and the built-in starter base used. This document is also applicable to lampholders for single-ended tubular fluorescent lamps in which the outer shell and dome are integrated, which are similar to Edison screw sockets (such as G23 and G24 lampholders), for further inspection in accordance with the following clauses of IEC60238: 9.4 , 9.5, 9.6, 10.3, 11.7, 12, 13.2,
