Scope
This standard specifies the technical and dimensional requirements for lampholders and starter holders for tubular fluorescent lamps and the test methods to determine the safety and compatibility of lamps in lampholders and starters in starter holders. This standard applies to stand-alone lampholders and built-in lampholders for tubular fluorescent lamps equipped with lamp caps shown in Appendix A, as well as lampholders for lamps whose operating voltage effective value does not exceed 1000V when working in an AC circuit, in accordance with QB 2276 start-up The independent starter seat and the built-in starter seat used by the starter. This standard is also applicable to single-ended tubular fluorescent lamp holders integrated with the shell and base, which are similar to Edison screw sockets (such as G23 and G24 lamp holders), and should be further inspected in accordance with the following clauses in GB 17935; 8.4; 8.5; 8.6; 9.3; 10.7; 11; 12.2; 12.5; 12.6; 12.7; 13; 15.3; 15.4; 15.5; 15.9. Lampholders with barrel threads for shade fastening rings shall comply with IEC 60399. This standard also applies to lampholders which are integral with luminaires or which are intended to be incorporated in appliances (including requirements for lampholders only). For all other requirements, such as protection against electric shock in the terminal area, the terminal shall first be installed in a suitable device, when the device is checked according to its own standard, then visual inspection and test according to the requirements of the relevant appliance standard. Lampholders intended for use by luminaire manufacturers shall not be put up for retail sale. As far as fair use of this standard is concerned, this standard also applies to lampholders and starter holders and light source connectors of types other than those mentioned above. This standard uses the term "holder" to refer to lampholders and starter holders.
