Scope
This part of GB/T 19292 establishes a classification system for the corrosiveness of the atmospheric environment. This part defines the corrosiveness classification of the atmospheric environment according to the corrosion rate of the standard sample in the first year; the dose-response function used for the normative assessment of the corrosion level is given according to the calculated corrosion weight loss of the standard metal in the first year; It is possible to carry out informative assessment of the corrosivity level based on environmental situation awareness. This part specifies the key factors of atmospheric corrosion of metals and alloys, including the combined effect of temperature-humidity, sulfur dioxide pollution and airborne salt pollution. Temperature is also recognized as an important factor for corrosion in temperate climates. The combined effect of temperature-humidity can be assessed in terms of wet time. The corrosive effects of other pollutants (including ozone, nitrides, particulate matter) can affect corrosivity and estimated one-year corrosion weight loss, but these factors are not decisive in corrosivity assessments based on this section. This section does not apply to the corrosiveness of atmospheres in special environments, such as chemical or metallurgical industrial atmospheres. Corrosive grades and pollution levels can be directly used for technical and economic analysis of corrosion damage, as well as reasonable selection of corrosion protection measures.
