- This part of GB/T24679 specifies the safety and environmental requirements and verification methods for the design and manufacture of knapsack sprayers (machines) carried on the back or shoulders by the operator. This section also specifies the type of information to be provided by the manufacturer regarding safe operation (including residual risks). This section is applicable to knapsack sprayers, knapsack compression sprayers and hydraulic atomizing knapsack sprayers (machines) driven by engines or electric motors for agricultural and horticultural purposes, with a liquid tank rated capacity greater than 3L, rocker operation. This section does not apply to knapsack spray dusters specified in ISO28139. This section deals with the major hazards, hazardous states and hazardous events associated with normal use or misuse of the knapsack sprayer (machine) reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer (see Appendix A), but does not include hazards caused by the following: static electricity, spraying Explosion or fire caused by chemical agents, lack of structural integrity. This section does not apply to knapsack sprayers (machines) manufactured before publication.
