Scope: This standard specifies the method for checking and evaluating the positioning accuracy and repeatability of CNC machine tools by directly measuring the individual axes of the machine tool. This method is equally applicable to linear motion and rotary motion. This standard is applicable to type inspection, acceptance inspection, comparative inspection and periodic inspection of machine tools. It is also applicable to the compensation adjustment inspection of machine tools. This standard does not apply to machine tools that need to test several axes at the same time.
