Scope

This part of GB/T 17421 specifies the inspection method for the geometric accuracy of the rotary axis of the machine tool. The main shaft, rotary head and rotary table of the machine tool constitute the rotary axis. Due to the multiple sources of errors, the spatial movement of the rotary axis cannot be predicted. This section covers the following characteristics of the main shaft: - error motion of the rotary axis; - axis offset due to speed. Other important characteristics of the spindle, such as the axis offset caused by heat and ambient temperature, belong to the category of GB/T 17421.3. The following characteristics of the spindle are not included in this part: --Accuracy of angular position (see ISO 230-1 and ISO 230-2); --Runout of surfaces and components (ISO 230-1); --Holding holes of tool holders --Measurement of inertial vibration (see ISO 230-8); --Measurement of noise (ISO 230-5); --Speed speed range and accuracy (see ISO 10791-6 and ISO 13041-6); - balance measurement or balance method (ISO 1940-1 and ISO 6103); - idling loss (power loss); - thermal drift (see GB/T 17421.3).
