Scope: The limits specified in this standard will provide protection for broadcasting receivers used in residential environments within the frequency range of 30MHz to 1000MHz. This standard does not provide adequate protection for new types of radio transmitters and receivers used in residential environments within 10m of vehicles or installations. Note 1: Experience has shown that compliance with this standard can provide satisfactory protection for receivers of other types of emissions (including radio emissions outside the specified frequency ranges) used in residential environments. This standard applies to sources of broadband and narrowband emissions of electromagnetic energy that may cause interference to radio reception. Such emission sources are: a) vehicles driven by internal combustion engines, electric drives or both (see 3.1); b) motor ships driven by internal combustion engines, electric drives or both; Note 2: For this standard, Motor boats are considered a category of vehicles unless otherwise specified. C) Devices equipped with a spark ignition internal combustion engine (see 3.2). This standard includes limits and measurement methods for wideband and narrowband emissions. This standard does not apply to aircraft, traction systems (trains, trams and trolleybuses) or unfinished vehicles. Note 3: See CISPR25 for the protection of receivers used on vehicles.
