- This standard specifies the codes of effective engine power defined in accordance with GB/T 6072.1, so that the power expression specified in GB/T 6072.1 can be used when necessary. For example, it can be used to indicate the nameplate power of the engine. This standard applies to land, railway traction and marine reciprocating internal combustion engines, but does not include driving agricultural tractors, road vehicles and aviation engines. This standard can be used to drive road construction machinery and earth moving machinery, industrial trucks and other purposes for which there is no suitable international standard.
