Scope: This standard specifies the special requirements and test methods for passive infrared detectors for indoor use in intrusion alarm systems. This standard is a supplement to GB 10408.1-2000 "Intrusion Detector Part 1: General Requirements" and should be used in conjunction with IEC Publication 839-1-1 "Alarm Systems Part 1: General Requirements Section 1: General Requirements" . A detector may contain more than one sensor, but all sensors should be in the same enclosure. The purpose of this standard is to specify those specific technical requirements to ensure good performance and minimum false alarms of passive infrared detectors.
