- The specific requirements of this standard apply to the connection of data processing equipment to the building power supply installation in the following cases: ----The data processing equipment is connected to the building power supply installation via plugs and sockets conforming to IEC 60083 or similar standards, which The ground leakage current exceeds the limit specified in GB 4943 (idt IEC 60950:1991); ---- data processing equipment meets the requirements of GB 4943 (idt IEC 60950 (instead of 435): 1986) (including leakage current). The requirements of this standard apply to that part of the electrical installation up to the point of connection to the data processing equipment, see Figure A1. This standard can also be used for equipment other than data processing equipment, such as electrical installations of industrial control equipment and communication equipment. Those installations have large leakage currents due to the filtering required to suppress radio frequency interference.
