GB/T 16895.17-2002 Eletrical installations of buildings--Part 5: Selection and evection of electrical equipment--Section 548: Earthing arrangements and equipotential bonding for information technology installations (English Version)
This standard applies to the earthing and equipotential bonding of information technology installations and similar equipment requiring interconnection for data exchange purposes. This standard may also be applicable to other electronic equipment susceptible to interference. Note 1 Information technology equipment includes various electrical and electronic commerce equipment and telecommunication equipment (for more detailed information on the term "information technology equipment", see the scope clause of GB 4943). Examples of electrical installations and equipment to which this standard applies: telecommunication and data exchange or data processing equipment or electrical installations for signal transmission through internal and external connections to the building earth return; - d.c. power supplies for supplying information technology equipment inside buildings - private automatic branch exchange (PABX) equipment or devices; local area network (LAN); - fire alarm systems and intrusion alarm systems; - building service devices, such as direct digital control devices; - computer-aided manufacturing (CAM ) system and other computer-aided service systems. 2 The term "functional" in this standard refers to grounding and equipotential bonding used for signal transmission and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) purposes. 3 This standard does not consider the possible effects of lightning (see IEC l024-1). GB 16895.12 and GB/T 16895.16 (idt IEC 60364-4-444) include atmospheric overvoltage and overvoltage protection caused by operation and protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI) in electrical installations of buildings. 4 If the existing building electrical installations involved have electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) problems, please refer to Appendix A. 5 This standard does not include requirements for connections to equipment with high leakage currents. For such requirements, see Sections 707.1 to 707.4 of GB/T 16895.9.
