Scope
This part of GB/T 17214 gives the limit values of the power received by onshore and offshore industrial process measurement and control systems and their components during operation. This section does not consider maintenance and repair conditions. This section also does not consider the working conditions directly related to fire and explosion hazards and the conditions related to nuclear radiation. The influence quantities considered in this section are limited to those that may directly affect the performance of the process system. The impact of specific working conditions on personnel is outside the scope of this standard. This section only considers these working conditions, and the influence of these conditions on the instrumentation device is not considered. This section establishes the limit values or sets of limit values for the listed operating conditions. Other operating conditions, including those whose characteristics are difficult to determine and measure and for which applicable standards are not known to exist, are addressed in other publications. An example of an operating condition that is difficult to define is the corrosive atmosphere, which is difficult to classify due to the variety and concentration of corrosive substances and the variety of combinations of substances that may be encountered. This section does not recommend the classification of hydraulic power sources. In most cases, each working unit or a small group of units has an independent hydraulic power source. The characteristics of the hydraulic power source are specially designed to meet the requirements of the operated unit. Some types of pressure regulators are powered by the pressure of the fluid. Also, in some types of thermostats, the pressure that drives the valve comes from the thermal expansion of the fluid in the temperature sensing element. The power of such "self-powered" devices is not considered within the scope of this standard.
