Scope

This chapter of Part 1 applies except as follows: Addition: This Part applies to chainsaws for single-person sawing of timber. This standard does not include chainsaws used in combination with guide bars and riving knives, nor does it include machines with stands or as fixed or movable. This section does not apply to forestry chain saws defined in IS0 11681-2:1998 Log cutters and pruning saws.
