Scope

This standard specifies the size, shape, technical requirements, test methods, acceptance rules, packaging marks and quality certificates of stainless steel rods (generally referred to as round steel, square steel, flat steel, hexagonal steel and octagonal steel, hereinafter referred to as steel rods), etc. content. This standard applies to hot-rolled and forged stainless steel bars whose size (diameter, side length, thickness or distance across sides, hereinafter referred to as size) is not greater than 25Omm. After negotiation between the supplier and the buyer, hot-rolled and forged stainless steel rods with a size greater than 250mm can also be supplied.
