GB/T 18310.21-2002 Fibre optic interconnecting devices and passive components--Basic test and measurement procedures Part 2-21: Tests-Composite temperature--humidity cyclic test (English Version)
The purpose of this standard is to determine in an accelerated manner the ability of fiber optics to resist performance degradation under high temperature, humidity and low temperature conditions. This procedure aims to reveal defects in samples caused by "breathing" corresponding to moisture absorption. This procedure includes the freezing effect and condensation of water absorbed in cracks and fissures, the degree of which will be closely related to the volume and heat capacity of the sample. This procedure differs from other cyclic damp heat tests by increasing the severity of: a) a greater number of temperature changes or "breathing" in a given period of time; b) a greater range of cyclic temperatures; c) Larger temperature change rate; d) including multiple zeros. Temperature changes below C. This type of testing is especially important for fiber optic devices made of various materials, especially if the device contains glass bonds.
