The purpose of this section is to compare the ability of fiber optic devices of similar structure to resist corrosion in a controlled salt spray atmospheric environment. This procedure is carried out according to the test Ka of GB/T 2423.17-2003. The samples were exposed in a salt spray test chamber at 35°C. This procedure can be used to evaluate the quality and uniformity of the protective layer. The following limitations should be considered: a) This procedure does not apply to general salt corrosion testing. B) This procedure does not apply to the evaluation of samples intended to be directly exposed to salt spray atmospheric environments.
