GB/T 21429-2008 Composite insulators.Hollow insulators for use in outdoor and indoor electrical equipment.Definitions, test methods, acceptance criteria and design recommendations (English Version)
This standard applies to hollow composites consisting of a load-bearing insulating tube made of resin-impregnated fibers, an umbrella cover (external to the insulating tube) made of an elastic material (such as silicone rubber or ethylene-propylene rubber), and metal fittings at both ends of the insulating tube. Insulators (hereinafter referred to as "insulators"). Insulators as defined in this standard are used internally with or without pressure. They are used for outdoor or indoor electrical equipment operating on AC voltages with a rated voltage higher than 1000V and a frequency not higher than 100Hz or DC equipment with a rated voltage higher than 1500V. The purpose of this standard is to: — define terms used; — specify test methods; — specify acceptance criteria. This standard does not specify the impulse voltage or power frequency voltage for the type test or pollution test, because the withstand voltage is not a characteristic of the insulator itself, but a characteristic of the electrical equipment of which the insulator is finally a part.
