This part of GB 7000 specifies the safety requirements for Class I and Class II lamps with built-in transformers or converters for tungsten filament lamps, the supply voltage and output voltage not exceeding 1000 V. This part should be read together with the referenced chapters of GB 7000.1. This part of GB 7000 does not apply to Class III lamps. It is not necessary to use a "safety extra low voltage" (SELV) transformer or (SELV) converter in order to meet the requirements of this standard. But this transformer or converter can meet the special requirements of this part.
