Scope: This standard specifies the general requirements for safe access to machinery mentioned in GB/T 15706.2, and gives suggestions for the correct selection of entry facilities when access is required and the machinery cannot be entered directly from the ground or floor. This section applies to all stationary and mobile machinery with fixed access facilities. This section applies to access facilities as machine parts. This standard also applies to access to machinery installed in buildings as part of the building (for example: working platforms, walkways, ladders), provided that the main function of this part of the building is to provide fixed means of access to machinery. This section also applies to access facilities that are not permanently attached to the machine, and where certain operations of the machine may be removed or moved aside (for example, changing tooling on large presses). This standard does not apply to lifts, movable lifting platforms or other devices specially designed for lifting people between two levels.
