Scope: This standard specifies two test methods for the linear density of chemical fibers, the weighing method in the middle of the bundle fiber (method A) and the single fiber vibration instrument method (method B). This standard applies to the determination of the linear density of short chemical fibers such as polyester (polyester), polyamide (nylon), polyacrylonitrile (acrylic), polypropylene (propylene), polyvinyl formal (vinylon), regenerated cellulose fibers, etc. . Tow can be used by reference. When the above two methods are tested, a certain tension should be applied to the fibers, so that the fibers will straighten and curl and disappear, ensuring the validity of the test results. The adoption of method A and method B shall be determined through negotiation between the parties concerned according to specific conditions.
