Scope: This standard specifies the graphic symbols used on operation control machinery, measuring instrument signal devices and instruction manuals of reciprocating internal combustion engines to provide necessary information about use and operation. This standard applies to land, railway traction and marine reciprocating internal combustion engines, except for road vehicles and aviation internal combustion engines.
