Scope
This part of GB/T 2910 specifies the method for the determination of protein fiber content in a two-component mixture of certain protein fibers and certain non-protein fibers composed of the following fibers after removal of non-fibrous substances by the hypochlorite method: wool, Chemically treated wool, other animal fibers, silk, casein regenerated protein fibers and cotton, cupro fibers, viscose fibers, modal fibers, polyacrylonitrile fibers, ammonia fibers, polyamide fibers, polyester fibers, polypropylene fibers , glass fiber and elastic fiber. If several protein fibers exist at the same time in the fabric, this method can only calculate their total amount but not their respective amounts.
