Scope

This part of GB/T 24242 specifies the size, shape, weight and allowable deviation of non-alloy steel wire rods for wire making, order content, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificates, after delivery objection. This Part applies to non-alloy steel wire rods for drawing or cold-rolling steel wires (hereinafter referred to as wire rods). GB/T 24242 does not apply to the products in the following standards: ——Wire rods for heat treatment; ——Free cutting steel wire rods; ——Wire rods for cold pier and cold extrusion; ——Steel wire rods for welding; -Wire rods for mechanical springs with high fatigue strength, such as wire rods for valve springs; -Wire rods for welded steel mesh for concrete.
