- This standard applies to systems and electrical equipment for DC and AC power generation, transmission, distribution, and consumption with a standard frequency of 50 Hz. These electrical equipment include electrical equipment, electronic equipment, telecommunications equipment and electrical appliances. This standard does not apply to (but does not limit) the following situations: a. Voltages of components and components inside electrical equipment; b. Voltages representing signals, transmission signals or measured values; c. Voltages of special test equipment.
