Scope

This standard specifies the size and performance requirements of roller chains and bush chains suitable for motorcycle transmission and the sprockets used with them. The chain pitch ranges from 6.35mm to 19.05mm. These chains are suitable for external drives (eg: rear drive). This standard covers dimensions, tolerances, length measurements, pretension, minimum tensile strength, and minimum dynamic strength.
