This method is to determine the temperature when the plastic sample is immersed in a suitable liquid heat transfer medium that is heated at a constant rate, and under the static bending load of a simply supported beam, the bending deformation of the sample reaches a specified value. This method is suitable for molding materials and plates that are hard at room temperature. The data obtained by this method is suitable for quality control and as an index for identifying the thermal performance of new varieties, but it does not represent its use temperature.
