- This part of GB 19726 specifies the safety requirements and test methods for the design and structure of portable pruning chainsaws powered by internal combustion engines (hereinafter referred to as pruning chainsaws) (see Figure 1). This section is applicable to pruning by trained operators who hold the rear handle with their right hand and the front handle with their left hand to trim tree crowns, and whose net mass is not more than 4.3 kg when there is no saw chain and guide plate and the fuel tank is empty. chainsaw. The pruning chainsaw involved in this section is suitable for operators who have read and understood the safety requirements in the instruction manual and are using the correct personal protective equipment (PPE). This section gives all serious hazards associated with pruning chain saws during normal use and reasonable, foreseeable misuse.
