Scope: This chapter of GB 15092.1-2010 applies after making the following changes: 1.1 This part stipulates that the change-over selector is to be operated by a person through an actuator, or by an excitation sensor. The actuator or sensor may be physically or electrically integrated with the switch or configured separately, and may also include signal transmission between the actuator or sensor and the switch, for example, electrical, optical, acoustic or Temperature signal transmission. Change-over selectors with additional control functions subject to switch requirements are within the scope of this standard. This section also includes indirectly actuated change-over selectors, when the operation of the actuator or sensor is achieved by a remote control, appliance or part of the equipment (such as a door). This section applies to mechanical or electronic change-over selectors for household and similar appliances and equipment actuated by hand, foot or other human actions. The rated voltage of the change-over selector shall not exceed 480 V and the rated current shall not exceed 63 A. 1.2 This standard applies to change-over selectors attached to, on or integral with the appliance. 1.3 This section also applies to change-over selectors incorporating electronic components.
