Scope: This standard specifies the terms, definitions, requirements and test methods for the protection of the front outer seat occupants in the event of a vehicle frontal collision. This standard applies to M₁ category vehicles and N₁ category vehicles with a maximum design gross mass not greater than 2500 kg, as well as multi-purpose trucks.
