This part of GB/T 18290 is applicable to solderless press-in connections, which are used in communication equipment and electronic equipment using similar technology. Press-in connections feature press-in terminals that fit into plated through-holes in double-sided or multilayer printed boards. In addition, in order to obtain a stable electrical connection under the specified environmental conditions, in addition to the test procedures, this part also specifies some empirical data based on actual industrial use. The purpose of this standard is to determine the suitability of press-fit connections under specified mechanical, electrical and atmospheric conditions. According to this standard, only the flexible pressing area shall be identified. Information on the use of solid pressed-in areas is given in Appendix A.
