Scope

This standard specifies the detailed classification system of Group X (lubricating grease) in the classification of lubricants and related products (Class L), which should be understood in conjunction with GB7631.1. This standard applies to the classification of all kinds of greases for lubricating various equipment, mechanical parts, vehicles, etc.; it does not apply to the classification of greases for special purposes (such as food contact, high vacuum, radiation resistance, etc.). In the classification system of this standard, a grease has only one code, and this code should correspond to the most severe operating conditions (temperature, water pollution, load, etc.) in the application of the grease.
