Scope: This standard specifies the acceptable conditions of sample exposure time, temperature, atmospheric humidity and immersion liquid in the test of solid insulating materials. The range is wide enough to ensure that we can select suitable conditions to achieve any purpose. In order to obtain a better reproducibility of test results: a) Partially eliminate the influence of the environmental conditions experienced by the sample on the performance of the sample before the test (usually called "normalization treatment", this standard is called pretreatment) ; b) ensure that the conditions are consistent during the test period. This standard is not applicable to determine the influence of certain temperature and humidity or immersion liquid on materials. GB/T 2421.1-2008 gives the regulations on materials related to environmental influence.
