Cancels and replaces the third edition (1980) and amendment 2 (1987). Applicable to electrical installations for use in ships. The definitions and general requirements given in this part are applicable, unless otherwise indicated, to other parts of IEC 92.
Electrical installation in ships - Definitions and general requirements
Is applicable to the main features of the electrical protective system to be applied to electrical installations for use in ships. Considers in detail: general requirements, short-circuit currents, characteristics and choice of protective devices with reference to short-circuit rating, choice of protective devices with reference to overload, choice of protective devices with regard to their application, reverse power and reverse current protection, undervoltage protection, overvoltage protection.
Electrical installation in ships - System design - Protection
Forms a part of IEC Publication 92 which deals with electrical installations in sea-going ships. Supersedes the second edition published in 1965. Deals in separate section with earthing, switchgear and controlgear assemblies, transformers, semiconductor converters, accumulator batteries, luminaires, heating and cooking appliances, cables, lightning conductors and test of completed installation.
Electrical installation in ships - Installation and test of completed installation
Forms a part of IEC Publication 92, which deals with electrical installation in ships. Supersedes the corresponding part of the second edition published in 1965. Applies to accumulator batteries which are installed permanently in position for use in ships. Is not applicable to batteries of the portable type. Deals with construction and assembly, crates and trays. Establishes mainly requirements for the charging facilities.
Electrical installation in ships - Equipment - Accumulator (storage) batteries
Forms a part of IEC Publication 92, which deals with electrical installation in ships. Supersedes the corresponding part of the second edition published in 1965. Applies to static convertors using semiconductor rectifying elements such as diodes, thyristors etc. for use in ships. Gives additional requirements for semiconductor convertors referring to cooling arrangements, service conditions and application.

This part of ISO 3715 gives terms and definitions for screw propellers used in the propulsion plants of ships and other vessels (such as mobile offshore drilling units) that are self-propelled or propulsion-assisted. The definitions are valid only for the hydrodynamically effective part of the propeller. No definitions are given for the mechanical construction of the hub. Vocabulary for hydraulically operated controllable-pitch propeller plants is given in ISO 3715-2.
Ships and marine technology - Propulsion plants for ships - Part 1: Vocabulary for geometry of propellers
Cancels and replaces the third edition (1980) and its amendment 5 (1990). Applicable to the main features of system design of electrical installations for use in ships.
Electrical installation in ships - System design - General
This part of IEC 60092 deals with the electrical installations in tankers carrying liquids which are flammable, either inherently, or due to their reaction with other substances, or flammable liquefied gases. The requirements in other parts of IEC 60092 also apply to tankers, unless otherwise mentioned in this standard.
Electrical installation in ships - Tankers - Special features
Forms a part of IEC Publication 92, which deals with electrical installations in sea-going ships. Supersedes the second edition issued in 1965. Lays down general requirements for heating and cooking appliances. Specifies special requirements for galley appliances and for space-heating appliances.

The document specifies the structure, performance, insoection and testing of heading control systems to be installation on board ships. It applies to the heading control systems which enable a ship to keep a preset heading with minimum operation of the ship's steering gear, within limits related to the ship's manoeuvrability in conjunction with their sources of heading information.#,,#

Electrical installations in ships-Part 350:Shippboard power cables-General construction and test requirements
This International Standard specifies the structure, performance, inspection and testing of heading control systems to be installed on board ships. It applies to the heading control systems which enable a ship to keep a preset heading with minimum operation of the ship's steering gear, within limits related to the ship's manoeuvrability in conjunction with their sources of heading information. The heading control system may work together with a track control system adjusting its heading for drift. A turn rate control or a turning-radius control for performing turns may be provided. NOTE All the text in this International Standard identical to that in IMO Resolutions [Resolution A.342(IX) as amended by resolution MSC.64(67), annex 3 and Resolution A.694(17)] are printed in italics.

This part of ISO 3715 gives terms and definitions applicable exclusively to continuously variable and hydraulic operated controllable-pitch propeller units. It does not cover controllable-pitch propeller units for which only a few specified pitch settings apply. General vocabulary for the geometry of screw propellers is given in ISO 3715-1 and is also valid for controllable-pitch propellers.
