NOTE Computing devices and similar equipment within the scope of IEC 60950 and conforming to its requirements are considered to be suitable for use with equipment within the scope of this standard. However@ some of the requirements of IEC 60950 for resistance to moisture and liquids are less stringent than those in this standard. If HAZARDS from moisture or liquids could affect equipment that conforms to IEC 60950 and is used with equipment which conforms to this standard@ the instructions for use should specify any additional precautions required. Additional requirements beyond the current scope of this standard apply if a refrigerant charge of FLAMMABLE REFRIGERANT exceeds this amount. Addition: Add the following text after the last paragraph: NOTE 101 Examples for REFRIGERATING EQUIPMENT include@ but are not limited to@ laboratory equipment such as laboratory refrigerators@ freezers@ refrigerated display cabinets@ etc. If all or part of the equipment falls within the scope of one or more other Part 2 standards of IEC 61010 as well as within the scope of this standard@ it should also meet the requirement of those other Part 2 standards@ In particular@ if equipment is intended to be used as a centrifuge@ it should meet the requirements of IEC 61010-2-020. However@ when the equipment incorporates a REFRIGERATING SYSTEM and a heating function where the combination of the two introduces additional or more sever HAZARDS than if treated separately then the application of IEC 61010-2-012 should be considered instead of this Part 2. See further information in the flow chart for the selection process and guidance in the Introduction. Equipment excluded from scope Addition: Add the following new item after item j): aa) equipment incorporating transcritical refrigerant system (system that use CO2) or system that use ammonia (NH3) as the refrigerant.

Communication Profile Family 1 (commonly known as FOUNDATIONTM Fieldbus1) defines communication profiles based on IEC 61158-2, Type 1, IEC 61158-3-1, IEC 61158-4-1, IEC 61158-5-5, IEC 61158-5-9, IEC 61158-6-5, and IEC 61158-6-9. The basic profiles CP 1/1 (FF H1) and CP 1/2 (FF HSE) are defined in IEC 61784-1. This part of IEC 62453 provides information for integrating the FOUNDATIONTM Fieldbus (FF) protocol into the FDT standard (IEC 62453-2). The standard describes communication definitions, protocol specific extensions and the means for block (e. g. transducer, resource or function blocks) representation. The new protocol specific definitions are based on FF-specifications for H1 and HSE protocols. Furthermore, the definitions contain information that is needed by systems to configure FF devices. The scope is limited to FOUNDATIONTM Fieldbus device and system specific definitions.
