Communication Profile Family 1 (commonly known as FOUNDATION™ Fieldbus1) defines communication profiles based on IEC 61158-2, Type 1, IEC 61158-3-1, IEC 61158-4-1, IEC 61158-5-5, IEC 61158-5-9, IEC 61158-6-5, and IEC 61158-6-9. The basic profiles CP 1/1 (FF H1) and CP 1/2 (FF HSE) are defined in IEC 61784-1. This part of IEC 62453 provides information for integrating the FOUNDATION™ Fieldbus (FF) protocol into the FDT standard (IEC 62453-2). The standard describes communication definitions, protocol specific extensions and the means for block (e.g. transducer, resource or function blocks) representation. The new protocol specific definitions are based on FF-specifications for H1 and HSE protocols. Furthermore, the definitions contain information that is needed by systems to configure FF devices. The scope is limited to FOUNDATION™ Fieldbus device and system specific definitions.

This International Standard deals with transformations from original quantities into modal quantities for the widely used three-phase a.c. systems in the field of electric power engineering. The examination of operating conditions and transient phenomena in three-phase a.c. systems becomes more difficult by the resistive, inductive or capacitive coupling between the phase elements and line conductors. Calculation and description of these phenomena in three-phase a.c. systems are easier if the quantities of the coupled phase elements and line conductors are transformed into modal quantities. The calculation becomes very easy if the transformation leads to decoupled modal systems. The original impedance and admittance matrices are transformed to modal impedance and admittance matrices. In the case of decoupling of the modal quantities, the modal impedance and admittance matrices become diagonal matrices.

1.1.1 Object This Code covers the maintenance of electrical equipment for voltages up to and including 22 kV to enhance safe and proper operation of electrical installations with reduced risk of breakdown and the consequent interruption of supply. It represents a standard of good practice and therefore takes the form of recommendations for the maintenance of electrical equipment. It provides information on an organised system of routine maintenance keeping electrical equipment, both indoor and outdoor, and its associated apparatus in good working order. Attention is also drawn to the precautions taken in order to maximise the safety of personnel while maintenance work is in progress. Special maintenance requirements relating to explosion-proof electrical equipment are excluded from this Code. This Code also does not apply to systems for transmission and distribution of electricity to consumer's electrical installations. 1.1.2 Statutory requirements The following government regulations have relevance: 1.1.2.1 Workplace Safety and Health Act - Ministry of Manpower For electrical installations falling within the meaning of the Workplace Safety and Health Act (2006) and amendments made thereafter shall be referred to. 1.1.2.2 The Electricity Act (Cap. 89A), Electricity (Electrical Installations) Regulations 2002 and the Electricity (Electrical Workers) Regulations 2002 - Energy Market Authority The Acts and regulations shall apply to all electrical installations. Under Section 82 of the Electricity Act, it is clearly stated that no person shall perform any electrical work or hold himself out as a licensed electrical worker, etc, unless he has a valid electrical worker licence issued under the said Act. There are three classes of electrical workers licences, namely: a) the electrician licence; b) the electrical technician licence; and c) the electrical engineer licence. The authority conferred upon and the responsibilities of the three classes of licensed electrical workers are spelt out in the Electricity (Electrical Workers) Regulations 2002.

SAFETY OF MACHINERY – ELECTRO-SENSITIVE PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT – Part 3: Particular requirements for Active Opto-electronic Protective Devices responsive to Diffuse Reflection (AOPDDR) Replacement: This part of IEC 61496 specifies additional requirements for the design, construction and testing of non-contact electro-sensitive protective equipment (ESPE) designed specifically to detect persons as part of a safety related system, employing active opto-electronic protective devices responsive to diffuse reflection (AOPDDRs) for the sensing function. Special attention is directed to requirements which ensure that an appropriate safety-related performance is achieved. An ESPE may include optional safety-related functions, the requirements for which are given both in Annex A of this part and in Annex A of IEC 61496-1. This part does not specify the dimensions or configurations of the detection zone and its disposition in relation to hazardous parts for any particular application, nor what constitutes a hazardous state of any machine. It is restricted to the functioning of the ESPE and how it interfaces with the machine. AOPDDRs are devices that have a detection zone specified in two dimensions wherein radiation in the near infrared range is emitted by a transmitter element(s). When the emitted radiation impinges on an object (for example, a person or part of a person), a portion of the emitted radiation is reflected to a receiving element(s) by diffuse reflection whereby the presence of the object can be detected. Excluded from this part are AOPDDRs employing radiation of wavelength outside the range 820 nm to 946 nm, and those employing radiation other than that generated by the AOPDDR itself. For sensing devices that employ radiation of wavelengths outside this range, this part may be used as a guide. This part is relevant for AOPDDRs having a stated detection capability in the range from 30 mm to 200 mm. AOPDDRs intended for use as trip device using wholebody detection with normal approach to the detection zone and having a stated detection capability not exceeding 200 mm shall meet the requirements of Clause A.12. AOPDDRs intended for a direction of approach normal to the detection zone and having a stated detection capability in the range from 30 mm to 70 mm shall meet the requirements of Clause A.13. This part may be relevant to applications other than those for the protection of persons, for example, for the protection of machinery or products from mechanical damage. In those applications, different requirements may be necessary, for example when the materials that have to be recognized by the sensing function have different properties from those of persons and their clothing. This part does not deal with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) emission requirements. Opto-electronic devices that perform only one-dimensional spot-like distance measurements, for example, proximity switches, are not covered by this part.
