The purpose of this specification is to provide airplane operators and tow vehicle manufacturers with: A. General design and operating requirements pertinent to test and evaluation of towbarless tow vehicles. Specific design requirements are provided in ARP4852A and ARP4853A. B. Test and evaluation requirements. The results of these test evaluations will determine if the loads induced by the tow vehicle will exceed the design loads of the nose gear, reduce the certified safe life limit of the nose gear, or induce a stability problem during pushback and/or maintenance towing operations.
Nose Gear Towbarless Tow Vehicle Basic Test Requirements
1 This International Standard specifies the func-tional, performance and safety requirements for a ve-hicle equipped with a liftable van body designed for: — cabin resupply and servicing, and/or — loading and unloading of catering equipment and supplies on all large capacity aircraft types commonly in service in international civil air transport with a cabin door sill height equal to or exceeding 2,54 m (100 in) over the ground. 2 The intent of this International Standard is not to specify equipment design, but rather to define minimum functional and performance requirements and highlight those criteria which are known to be essential to an efficient and safe operation on civil transport aircraft in the environment of international airports by aircraft and vehicle manufacturers as well as airlines and catering agencies. 3 It shall be applied with due reference to national governmental regulations of the country where the vehicle is to be operated. The main though not ex-clusive areas in which such national regulations may be more stringent than the requirements of this In-ternational Standard are: — sanitary requirements regarding design, cleaning and disinfection of vehicles used to carry food for human consumption. — stability and other safety requirements applicable to elevating equipment carrying personnel in the elevated position.
Aircraft ground support equipment. Catering vehicle for large capacity aircraft. Functional requirements
Gives the functional, performance and safety requirements for self-propelled passenger boarding stairs intended for access to the cabin of all aircraft types commonly in service in international civil air transport with a cabin door sill height equal to or exceeding 2,54 m.

This International Standard specifies the general functional and performance requirements for a self-propelled, boom type aerial device, equipped with an aircraft de-icing/anti-icing fluid (ADF) spraying system. This International Standard does not specify a com-prehensive set of technical design criteria for aircraft de-icing/anti-icing vehicles, but only those relating to functional and performance requirements.

DIESEL ENGINE FUEL INJECTOR CLEANER
This document specifies the general functional and performance requirements for a self-propelled, boom type aerial device equipped with an aircraft deicing/anti- icing fluid (ADF) spraying system. The unit shall be highly maneuverable for deicing and anti-icing all exterior surfaces of wide-body and narrow-body aircraft, e.g., B747 and DC9. The vehicle shall be suitable for day and night operations. The vehicle and all associated systems shall operate satisfactorily under the temperature conditions between -40 and 50 degrees C (-40 and 122 degrees F) and in continuous humidity of up to 100%. It is not within the scope of this document to specify a comprehensive set of technical design criteria for aircraft deicing/anti-icing vehicles but only those relating to functional and performance requirements.

This SAE Aerospace Recommended Practice (ARP) applies to airline trailer equipment with four wheel running gear pulled and steered through an integral tow bar, for use on airport ramps and other airport areas for transporting baggage, freight, and other materials. This ARP can apply to any airline/airport trailer chassis regardless of its equipment; the trailer bed can be designed to carry either bulk baggage/cargo, or a cargo unit load device by means of a rollerized conveyor system, or a piece of aircraft servicing equipment (e.g., ground power unit, air start unit, etc.).
