Scope

This part of GB/T15579 specifies: a) standards and test methods for radio frequency emissions; b) standards and test methods for harmonic current emissions, voltage fluctuations and flicker; c) immunity requirements and test methods, including continuous disturbance, Transient disturbance, conducted disturbance, radiated disturbance and electrostatic discharge. This section applies to equipment for arc welding and similar processes, including power supplies and auxiliary equipment, such as wire feeding devices, cooling systems, arc ignition and arc stabilization devices, etc. Note 1: Similar processes refer to such as plasma cutting, arc stud welding, etc. Note 2: This section does not involve basic safety requirements for arc welding equipment, such as protection against electric shock, unconventional operation, insulation coordination and related dielectric strength tests. Arc welding equipment that is type tested in accordance with this standard and meets the requirements is applicable to all applications.
