Scope

This part of GB 15579 specifies the safety requirements for professional or industrial arc ignition and arc stabilization devices for arc welding and similar processes. This section applies to independent arc ignition and arc stabilization devices. The arc ignition and arc stabilization device can be placed inside or outside the welding power source.
