Scope: This part of GB 15579 specifies the test procedures for periodic inspections and to ensure electrical safety after maintenance. These test procedures also apply to equipment maintenance. This section applies to power sources for arc welding and similar processes designed according to GB 15579.1-2013 or IEC 60974-6. Independent auxiliary devices designed according to other standards of GB 15579 can be tested in accordance with this part. This section does not apply to testing of new welding power sources or welding power sources driven by internal combustion engines.
