Scope

This part of GB/T 15579 specifies the requirements for the limited load arc welding and cutting power supplies and auxiliary devices connected to the single-phase public low-voltage power supply system, designed for use by non-professionals, and power supplies driven by mechanical equipment with an output power not exceeding 7.5 kVA. Security requirements and performance requirements. This standard does not apply to the following arc welding and cutting power sources: - with arc ignition and arc stabilization device; - with liquid cooling system; - with gas circuit device; - three-phase input power supply; Power supplies for industrial and professional use. This standard does not apply to arc welding and cutting power sources and auxiliary devices used in the following processes: - mechanically guided applications; - submerged arc welding; - plasma gouging; - plasma welding. The above situation is regulated by other parts of GB/T 15579.
