This part of GB/T 28029 specifies the general architecture of the train communication network (TCN), in order to achieve the compatibility between marshalling networks and backbone networks defined in GB/T 28029. This section applies to the communication system architecture for open train vehicles, in-vehicle and train-to-ground data communications. The application of the train network technology in this part can realize the interoperability of each vehicle in the open train in international transportation, and can also be used as a recommended scheme for the data communication system inside the vehicle. The supplier provides proof of compatibility between the train backbone network and the marshalling network. If the supplier and the user agree, this section can also be used for closed trains and multi-unit trains. Note: This section does not consider vehicles such as buses and trolleybuses.
