This part of GB/T28029 stipulates the communication protocol of the train communication network to ensure the interconnection among the formations of the Ethernet train backbone network defined in GB/T28029.6. The communication protocol aims to ensure the interoperability of information exchange between train formations. All elements necessary for communication interoperability are defined: a) architecture with defined train orientations related to different train views; b) common function addressing concept; c) common communication protocol for data exchange between functions; d) train Set of services for communication control. As a limitation, this communication protocol follows the Ethernet Train Backbone (ETB) technology defined in GB/T28029.6. For marshalling networks, a more abstract interface is defined so as not to limit the use of marshalling network technologies [such as MVB (GB/T28029.9), CANopen (GB/T28029.11) or ECN (GB/T28029.12)]. Defining application data content and its meaning (such as syntax and semantics) does not belong to the category of communication protocols, but to the category of application protocols, that is, as shown in Figure 1, two application protocols are explicitly supported: the TCMS application protocol defined in GB/T28029.5 It is related to the on-board multimedia and information service (OMTS) protocol defined by the IEC62580 series standard.
