- Scope
- This chapter of GB/T 19212.1-2016 is replaced by the following content: This part of GB/T 19212 specifies the safety requirements for electric bells and electric clock transformers and power supply units with built-in electric bells and electric clock transformers. Transformers with electronic circuits are also included in this standard. Unless otherwise specified, the following "transformers" include bells and clock transformers and power supply units incorporating bells and clock transformers. This section applies to stationary, single-phase, air-cooled (self-cooled or air-cooled), independent or supporting dry-type transformers. Its windings can be encapsulated or non-encapsulated. This standard applies to transformers and power supply units (linear). This part is used in conjunction with GB 19212.17 switching power supply unit, and also applies to power supply units whose internal operating frequency exceeds 500 Hz. Where the requirements of two standards are inconsistent, the more stringent standard takes precedence. The rated power supply voltage does not exceed AC 250 V, and the rated power supply frequency does not exceed 500 Hz. This standard applies to transformers and linear power supply units whose internal operating frequency does not exceed 500 Hz. Rated output should not exceed 100 VA. The no-load output voltage does not exceed 33 V AC or 46 V DC without ripple, and the rated output voltage does not exceed 24 V AC or 33 V DC without ripple. Bell and clock transformers are generally intended to supply short-duration household electro-acoustic signaling equipment and other similar apparatus on which loads are applied. This standard does not apply to external circuits and their components intended to be connected to the input and output terminals of the transformer. Transformers covered by this standard may be used when installation regulations or final product standards require double or reinforced insulation between circuits. This part applies to transformers matched with special equipment, and its scope is determined by relevant standards.
