Scope: This standard specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marks, packaging, transportation and storage of marine ultra-low temperature breakaway valves (hereinafter referred to as "breakaway valves"). This standard is applicable to the design, manufacture and acceptance of breakaway valves for hose transmission systems used in ship liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering, transfer and loading and unloading operations.
