Scope
This standard specifies the encoding process at the system level. After improvement, in principle, it supports the mixed video and audio encoding methods defined in GB/T17191.2 and GB/T17191.3. The system layer has five basic functions: a) synchronization of multiple compressed data streams during playback; b) decomposing multiple compressed data streams into a single data stream; c) buffer initialization at the beginning of playback; d) continuous buffer management; e) identification of time. GB/T 17191 multi-channel bit stream structure can be divided into two layers: the outermost layer is the system layer, and the innermost layer is the compression layer. The system layer provides the capabilities necessary to use one or more compressed data streams in a system. The video and audio sections of this specification define the compression coding layers for audiovisual data. The encoding of other types of data is not defined by this specification, but other types of data subject to the constraints defined in 2.4 shall be supported at the system level.
