Scope
This standard specifies the encoding representation and decoding processing of video in digital storage media. In addition to supporting some special functions, such as random operation, fast forward playback, fast reverse playback, normal speed reverse playback, pause and image still, the representation method also supports Normal speed text is supported. This standard is compatible with the standard 525-line and 625-line TV formats, and it provides flexibility for the display and use of personal computers and workstations. GB/T 17191 is mainly applicable to digital storage media that support a continuous transfer rate of about 1.5Mbit/s, such as CDs, digital audio tapes (DAT) and hard disks. Because of its generalized approach, it can be applied in a wider range. The storage medium can be directly connected to the decoder, or through a communication method, such as a bus LAN, or a telecommunication connection. This standard uses about 288 lines, 352 pixels per line, and a non-interval scanning video format with a picture rate in the range of about 24Hz to 30Hz.
