Scope
Except for the following provisions, this chapter of GB15092.1-1994 is applicable: Replaced with: This standard applies to independently installed switches used on appliances and equipment for household and similar purposes, which are driven by hands, feet or other human body movements. The rated voltage of the independently installed switch shall not exceed 440V, and the rated current shall not exceed 63A. To read: This standard applies to independently installed switches used integrally with appliances or equipment. NOTE 1 Certain requirements may be added for switches intended for use in tropical climates. 2 There may be additional or alternative requirements for switches in the appliance and equipment standards. 3 The term "apparatus" in this standard refers to apparatus or equipment. 4 Except in special circumstances, the term "switch" in this standard refers to a stand-alone mounted switch. Replaced to read: This standard applies to switches that are separated from appliances (independently installed) except within the scope of IEC 60669-1.
