GB/T 18311.2-2001 Fibre optic interconnecting devices and passive components--Basic test and measurement procedures--Part 3-2: Examinations and measurements--Polarization dependence of a single--mode fibre optic device (English Version)
This International Standard is intended to determine the dependence of single-mode fiber optics on changes in the polarization state. This measurement can be applied to any single-mode interconnect and passive components, including connectors, splices, couplers, attenuators, isolators, and switches. This method is used to measure the range of total attenuation due to changes in the injected polarization state. For splitters, this method can also be used to measure total coupling and ratio range. This method cannot be used to measure the polarization dependence of return loss.
