Scope

This standard specifies procedures for measuring changes in attenuation and changes in return loss when a device is subjected to an environmental test (basic test). Since such tests typically test a group of devices over certain periods of time, the measurement program and associated equipment are designed to monitor many devices in the same program and employ automatic data acquisition. Also, since the attenuation variation and return loss variation of devices can be small, and the performance of these devices in the system is important, it is emphasized that this measurement procedure should always maintain high measurement stability.
