GB 12476.3-2007 Electrical apparatus for use in the presence of combustible dust.Part 3: Classification of areas where combustible dusts are or may be present (English Version)
This part of GB 12476 involves the classification of places where explosive dust/air mixtures and combustible dust layers exist, so that suitable equipment can be selected for use in such places. In this section, explosive dust atmospheres and combustible dust layers are discussed separately. In Chapter 4, the classification of sites for explosive dust clouds is described, with dust layers as one of the possible sources of release. In Chapter 7, the ignition hazard of dust layers is described. This section adopts effective site cleaning based on the factory cleaning system. This section applies to locations where hazards may arise due to the presence of explosive dust/air mixtures or combustible dust layers under normal atmospheric conditions. This standard does not apply to: - underground mining sites; - places where there may be hazards due to the presence of mixed materials; - explosive dust or natural substances that do not require atmospheric oxygen to burn; Normal catastrophic accidents (see Note 1); - any hazards caused by flammable or toxic gases ejected with dust; - this section does not consider the impact of damage caused after fire or explosion.
